Simon Watson, a native of Dublin, moved to New York almost 30 years ago to pursue a career in the visual arts. Although he studied film, he experimented with other forms of art including painting before concentrating on photography.
His work appears regularly in numerous editorial publications such as The New York Times T Magazine, W Magazine, Vanity Fair Spain, Travel + Leisure and Icon Magazines in Italy and Spain. In addition to major print advertising and catalog campaigns, including H&M, Anthropologie, Zara, CB2, Marriott, Visa, Mastercard, Morgan Stanley, Herman Miller, MetLife, AT&T, Holland America, IBM, JP Morgan Chase, Hyatt and American Express.

He has shown his work in solo and group exhibitions in New York and Europe, including solo shows at the late Richard Anderson Gallery in New York and the Auschwitz Museum in Poland. His work is included in museum, public, private and corporate collections in the US and Europe.

This summer 2017 he will have his third solo show of paintings at the Gallerie Rideau de Fer in Castlefranc, Lot, France.
He now lives between Dublin and New York.
